My career spans 16 years in the design industry, starting with my heady days in London working in more modest design agencies with many entrepreneurial clients. Here I learnt the industry inside out, from concept through to production, and then spent my more grown up days in Nottingham at large design powerhouse, Linney Design (Top 20 design agency in the UK*). At Linney, I worked alongside some of the UK’s biggest brands. I initiated new business, grew key accounts, led pitches and took the business into new areas of expertise, becoming instrumental in the growth of the business in which I worked. In 2009, I combined my experience and my little black book of contacts and started Alilia in a barn in Worcestershire, surrounded by horses and tractors! Since opening the barn doors Alilia has generated work from clients both little and large as well as launching an art range, available on notonthehighstreet.com and Heal’s London.
I have been fortunate to work on a wide variety of design projects, disciplines and market sectors over the course of my career, with my core areas of expertise being design for print, branding, visual identity and environmental design.
I’ve worked with and learned from some great marketeers and brand positioning experts, which has given me an ability to be inventive yet deliver with a common sense approach. means although I undertake projects with creativity – I never forget that the solution should rationally solve a business problem.
